We are a small but effective club where every member counts.  We aim to develop each individual swimmer to become the best they can be and to equip them with all the skills to acheive this. 

We welcome swimmers of all abilities ranging from learning to swim to nationals.

We place a large emphasis on technique and executing skills quickly over short distances with the younger swimmers, progressing through the distances as skills are learnt and swimmers move through the squads.  As a competitive club we aim to get every swimmer into competition at an appropriate standard.  The club competes in the Essex Mini-League for our younger swimmers, the Essex Swimming Leagues and the National Arena League, Swim England Essex County Championships, East Regional Championships, East Regional Championshipsand British Nationals.  We also take part in several open meets throughout the year and hold internal galas. 

Alongside the coaches, we have a dedicated team of volunteers on the committee who enable the club to rub smoothly, and numerous officials who help at events ranging from our internal galas to the Regional Championships. 

At Harlow Penguins we believe swimming is for all, and with encouragement, patience and lots of hard work everyone can reach their goals.
